Itinerary
Arrival at Srinagar airport and transfer to Deluxe Houseboat at Dal Lake. Afternoon ride by Shikara to visit Floating Gardens and inside of the Lake. Overnight stay at houseboat.
Leave after breakfast for Sonamarg (Meadows of Gold) which has sheer scenic splendour. The very way-a metalled road snakes through massive mountains laden with forests and firs. After a breath-taking journey from Srinagar you come across River Sindh that is abounded with trout & Mahseer. Onwards the valley opens up to a meadow. Ponies can be hired for a trip up to Thajiwas glacier; a major attraction during the summer months. Sonamarg,s importance lies in the fact that it is the last halt on the Kashmir side for the drive from Srinagar to Leh. You will be fascinated to see Snowy Mountains against a cerulean sky against its backdrop. Overnight stay in a hotel in Sonamarg.
After breakfast leave for Gulmarg, one of the most beautiful summer/winter resorts in the valley. One can have a gondola (cable car) ride from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg to have real view in winter. You can have a pony ride in the open fields to seven springs and to a lake, which remains frozen till June .Overnight stay in Hotel.
After breakfast leave for Pahalgam. On arrival at Pahalgam check in at Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in a hotel at Pahalgam.
After breakfast leave for a walk around the market place in Pahalgam & enjoy the feel of the local trading in the town. Afternoon for rest. Overnight in a hotel in Pahalgam.
Leave for Srinagar from Pahalgam. On arrival check in Hotel. Afternoon tour of Mughal gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (the garden of pleasure), Chashmashahi (The Royal Spring) and Shalimar garden (abode of love). Overnight stay at Hotel.
After breakfast leave for a day trip to Keer Bhawani &Manasbal Lake. Kheer Bhawani is a temple dedicated to the Goddess Kheer Bhawani which is constructed over a sacred spring .The worship of Kheer Bhawani is universal among the Hindus of Kashmir. The temple is situated at a distance of 14 miles east of Srinagar near the village of Tula Mula. Thereafter proceed to Manasbal Lake. The lake is a good place for birdwatching as it is one of the largest natural stamping grounds of Aquatic birds in Kashmir and has the sobriquet of “supreme gem of all Kashmir Lakes”. The rootstocks of lotus plant which grows extensively in the lake are harvested and marketed, and also eaten by the local people. Return to Srinagar for overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast transfer to airport for departure
